🎨 Westside Ventura

The Westside is one of Ventura's oldest and most character-rich neighborhoods — a flat grid west of downtown known for its working-class history, growing arts scene, and active community council. Ventura Avenue (locally just "The Avenue") runs through the heart of the district, lined with auto shops, taquerías, family businesses, and an expanding cluster of art studios, galleries, and creative spaces anchored by the Bell Arts Factory.

The Westside has long been a place where Ventura's makers, mechanics, and musicians live and work side by side. Recent years have brought more artists, infill housing, and small new businesses, but the neighborhood retains a strong, distinct identity.
