Ojai Valley Inn — George C. Thomas Jr. Course
Overview
Originally laid out in 1923 by legendary architect George C. Thomas Jr. (Riviera, Bel-Air, LACC) with Billy Bell, then restored by Jay Morrish and again refined under modern resort ownership, the Ojai Valley Inn course is the most architecturally significant track in Ventura County. The par-70 layout climbs and tumbles through oak-shaded canyons with the Topatopa Mountains looming beyond every fairway. It plays as one of the most photogenic and historically important resort courses on the West Coast.
📜 History
Designed in 1923 by George C. Thomas Jr. with Billy Bell — the same team behind Riviera and Bel-Air. The course has hosted PGA-affiliated events and a young Bobby Jones is part of its early history.
