🌅 Sunset Views

A long ridge connector trail running through Laguna Coast Wilderness Park with full panoramic views.

Bommer Ridge Trail runs the spine of the South Coast Wilderness, connecting Laguna Coast Wilderness Park to Aliso & Wood Canyons and ultimately Crystal Cove. Wide fire road, exposed, and long, with full ridge views in both directions — it's the connector of choice for serious hikers and mountain bikers stitching together the South Coast Wilderness network.

🌟 Why Locals Go Here

It's the highway of the South Coast Wilderness. Once you're on Bommer, you can chain together half the OC backcountry.

What to Expect

Wide exposed fire-road ridge. Long sustained sections with limited bailout options.

💡 Good to Know Before You Go

Park entry fee at the Nix Nature Center staging area. Plan water carefully — miles between bailouts.

📍 Local Tip

Drop in via Bommer from the Top of the World ridge in Laguna for an easier climb to the spine.

Best Time to Visit

October through May. Mornings only in summer.
