Moonstone Beach & Boardwalk

Moonstone Beach is the scenic heart of Cambria, a windswept stretch of pebble-and-sand shoreline famous for the polished, translucent moonstones that wash up among the surf-tumbled stones. Above the beach runs the beloved Moonstone Beach Boardwalk — a mostly flat, wood-and-path trail tracing roughly a mile of bluff with overlooks, benches, and interpretive signs. It's one of the most accessible and rewarding coastal walks in the county. Below, tidepools shelter sea stars, anemones, and crabs, while harbor seals and sea otters bob just offshore and gray whales pass during migration.
